This week Dermot McIlroy and his team celebrated the completion of guitar no. 500. It is an “All Koa” guitar with abalone soundboard inlay and celtic knot fingerboard inlay. We have added some more music-shops to our list to make it easier for you to get your hands on a McIlroy guitar, have a look at the shop section. Peter Finger`s “Guitar-Basar” in Osnabrück has joined the club as well as Tommy`s Music shop in Viersen and Stefan Friedrichs new “Akustik-Guitars Berlin”. We are especially happy to have found a partner in the Netherlands, Rudi Bults “Fellowship of Acoustics” with a great variety of handmade steelstring guitars.

Happy New Year and All the Best for 2008!
We are happy to announce that this year an international gathering of McIlroy guitar players will be held for the first time. The gathering will take place in Marche, Italy in September (11th to 14th) 2008. The location is the old style country house Villa D'Aria in the heart of the nature reserve Abbadia di Fiastra, near the town of Tolentino, 25km from the Adriatic Coast. There will be workshops, concerts and plenty of time for playing, talking and drinking red wine.
